Kilt Style skirt pattern

This is a spreadsheet based pattern. Why? Simply put I wanted a pattern I could just plug in certain measurements and come out with a lovely looking skirt that would look just as nice on my 9 year old as my 6 year olds.

Many UK mums will remember them as PE skirts.

Using only 3 basic measurements, and deciding how wide & how many you want your pleats, this spreadsheet will help you create a lovely skirt for summer, or even a great school skirt - in very little time.

Version 3 (uploads above) contain the waistband measurements. Patterns downloaded before 25th May 2008 will lack the measurements for the waistband. The measurement you need is:

Waistband length = ( (Front length * 2) + Back length) - (4 * seam allowance)
set both pleats & pleat width to zero to get the right values

Waistband height = (height required * 2) + (3 * seam allowance)

BIG real special hugs to my friends husband - simply known as the Shrouded Knight - for taking all my workings out and really messy spreadsheet & working it into a spectacular & easy to use spreadsheet for all.

This pattern has 2 x double pleat sets at the front (1 on each side) and can do the math for you for up to 12 pleats in the back.
